Visa category guide
Digital nomad visas let you live in a country for months or a year while working remotely for an employer or clients based elsewhere. They fill the gap between a tourist visa, which bans work, and a work visa, which ties you to a local employer.

Overview
Several European countries, Gulf states and Asian destinations now run remote-work or digital nomad programmes. Most ask for the same core things: proof you work remotely for a company or clients outside that country, a minimum monthly income, health insurance, and a clean record.
Working remotely on a tourist visa is a grey area many travellers fall into. In most countries, any work — even for an Indian employer — is not what a visitor visa is for. A digital nomad visa makes it lawful.
Tax is the big hidden question. Staying long enough can make you a tax resident there, and India has its own residency rules. Speak to a CA before you go.
